Privacy Policy.

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Draft — pending legal review. This policy is a plain-English draft and may change before ERZlearn launches.

1. Who we are

ERZlearn ("we", "us") is a school management software company based in Lagos, Nigeria. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website, www.erzlearn.com, under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

For any privacy question or request, email hello@erzlearn.com.

This policy covers this website only. When schools use the ERZlearn platform, a separate privacy notice will explain how school and student data is handled.

2. What we collect

When you use our contact or early-access form

  • What you'd like to do (join early access, book a demo or ask a question)
  • Your first and last name and work email address
  • Your school's name, your role and your school's approximate number of students
  • Your country
  • Anything you write in the optional message field
  • A record that you agreed to this policy, and when

When you visit the website

  • Your approximate country, worked out from your IP address when you open our contact page. See section 4.
  • Technical data processed by our hosting provider. Like any web host, Vercel processes your IP address and basic request details (such as the page requested and your browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use this to identify you.

We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we don't sell personal data.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To confirm and reply to your request, and email you about the ERZlearn launch and early access: based on your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe link in our emails.
  • To arrange and run a demo, or set up early access for your school: to take steps you've asked for before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to schools.
  • To pre-select your country on our form: our legitimate interest in making the form quicker to fill in (see section 4).
  • To keep the website secure and working: our legitimate interest.

4. Country detection on our form

To pre-select your country on our contact form, our hosting provider Vercel looks up the approximate country of your IP address only at the moment of your request. Our website receives just a two-letter country code, such as "KE" for Kenya.

  • We don't receive, store or log your IP address, city, region or precise location.
  • The country code isn't stored. It is used once to pre-select the country field.
  • We don't use your browser's location feature or any other location service.
  • Our lawful basis is legitimate interest: saving you a step when filling in the form.
  • You can always change the pre-selected country before sending the form.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with the service providers we need to run this website:

  • Vercel Inc. hosts the website and performs the country lookup described above.
  • Resend delivers form submissions to our inbox, sends your confirmation email and keeps our early-access email list.

These providers may process data outside Nigeria, for example in the United States or the European Union. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by the NDPA, such as contractual protections.

We may also disclose personal data if the law requires it.

6. How long we keep it

We keep form submissions and early-access details for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or you become a customer (in which case your agreement with us applies). Unsubscribing removes you from launch emails straight away.

7. Your rights

Under the NDPA you have the right to:

  • be informed about how your data is used, and access a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • restrict or object to how we use it, including for legitimate interests;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time;
  • complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

To use any of these rights, email hello@erzlearn.com. We'll respond within the time the law requires.

Visitors from other countries

If you're outside Nigeria, you have equivalent rights under your local law. That includes the GDPR in the European Union (and the UK GDPR), Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019, Ghana's Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843) and South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Security

The website is served only over HTTPS, and access to form submissions is limited to the ERZlearn team.

9. Children

This website is meant for school leaders and staff. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect children's personal data through it.

10. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if our practices change, and change the "last updated" date above.
